The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is a not-for-profit corporation of educational institutions, corporations and other organizations devoted to the promotion and improvement of higher education in business administration and management.  Organized in 1916, AACSB International is the premier accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting.  Its founding members include the best business schools in the country.

AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide.  It is the most prestigious, longstanding, and internationally recognized accreditation available for business schools.  The AACSB accreditation entails a meticulous internal review and evaluation process.  During this review period, the school must develop and implement a mission-driven plan to satisfy twenty-one quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, and interactions of faculty and students. Other key measures include a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.

Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to continuous quality improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive review process.  Accreditation by AACSB signals that the Naval Postgraduate School has the resources, credentials, and commitment to provide its students with a first-rate, future-focused, defense-oriented, business education.

To be one of the elite AACSB-accredited business schools is to be part of an established tradition of excellence.
